Pearses 2-19 Kiltormer 0-7: Pearses opened an early four point lead in this game, before Kiltormer got on the scoresheet, but after Brian Sweeney goaled on 12 minutes Pearses were in control until the end. Pearses led 1-9 to 0-3 at half time, Sweeney 1-4 of that total. Ronan Bellew, Conor Fahy, Noel McDonagh and Conor O’Neill also chipping in with points. The second half continued in the same vein, with Sweeney adding his second goal in the 11th minute. Pearses kept the scoreboard ticking until the end, to run out comfortable winners. They play Kinvara away in Round 2 on Sunday evening.
