Pearses 5-12 Liam Mellows 1-11: Our U16 hurlers made it two Championship wins from two games earlier this evening in Ballymacward. The victory was made all the more impressive to the fact that Pearses were missing two regular starters, Paul Lally and Sean Murray (both injured). Brian Sweeney continued his good form, having scored 0-14 in the previous game against St Thomas’. This evening he hit 2-6, from midfield! Lee Murphy was also impressive at full-forward, hitting 1-5 in a deadly double-act. Pearses are due to play Cappataggle in the next round, on May 2nd. Details TBC.
