Our U14 hurlers have been on a unbeaten run of late and following a draw with Mullagh last Monday evening in Round 5, they have now secured a place in the U14B1 Semi-Finals. They still have two games to play in the Group, against Killimordaly and Michael Cusacks. These games will decide where we finish in the top four and hence who our opposition will be in the Semi-Finals. The team that tops the group will play fourth placed in one Semi-Final and the second and third will play in the other. Well done to all the lads and their management team! Keep up the good work.
Our U14 hurlers will compete in the separate Justin Cheevers (Fandamp;eacute;ile na nGael) annual competition. Their first game will be played at 6.30pm on 25th April, away to Gort. Like last year, we will host the remainder of the games the following day (Saturday 26th) in Ballymacward. The lads will play Michael Cusacks and Carnmore. The Semi-finals, should we qualify, will be played that evening. The Final will be played the next day in Pearse Stadium, Salthill. The winner of Justin Cheevers Cup represents Galway in Feile up North this year. Hopefully we will need our Sterling later in the Summer!
