Thursday 13th April: The Club’s U12 hurlers will travel to Croke Park next Thursday 13th April. We will meet at Ballymacward Hall at at 7.15am and travel by bus to Croker. Other Galway Clubs who will also attend on the day are Loughrea, Portumna, Cappataggle, Michael Cusacks and Tommy Larkins. Each Club listed above, including ourselves will field two teams and play off a series of games against each other in the Stadium.
There is free admission on the day and FREE parking in the David Stand Car Park. Littlewoods Ireland have also sponsored a fun pack which will include a Jersey for all kids involved and there is tea and coffee for all on arrival. The restaurant will be open on the day also. Any parents, grandparents etc who wish to attend are free to do so. Please note that no parents/spectators are permitted to gain entry to the pitch. Team photos can be taken at pitch side, but must be organised to be taken in between playing times. The Connacht GAA website will post team photos and loads of action shots after the event, which is free to use by all.
We ask all parents to pack a big lunch with lots of drinks for their children as it won’t be until the way home that we stop to eat. I’m sure all our Players, Coaches (Martin Scarry, Eddie Mitchell, Michéal Kelly, Seán O’Neill, Niall Skehill and Paul Hogan) and any parents, relatives or supporters who travel will have a super day in the greatest Stadium of them all!
Museum Visit
A FREE museum visit is on offer to all PLAYERS participating in the Connacht Play and Stay days in Croke Park:
The museum visit andamp;amp; stand tour would take one hour in total
Each team will be allocated 18 passes for the Museum Tour
Mentors will be expected to act in a supervisory capacity and assist the tour guide with the group
Groups must arrive to the museum at the appointed time
On arrival at the museum 6 teams will be divided into two groups of 3 teams
Any additional adults/fans/family members accompanying clubs may pay to visit the museum separately but NOT WITH PLAYERS
Full stadium tours are on offer throughout the day on a first come first served basis
