Minor Hurlers Pipped at The Post

Kilconieron 4-7 Pearses 2-12: Our Minor hurlers’ unbeaten record in the Championship to date came to an end, when a great second half comeback by Kilconieron seen them lose out by just 1 point in Kilconieron on Saturday evening. This was their third match of the campaign having defeated Killimordaly and finished on level terms with Sarsfields last weekend.
This is a game they could have won, as they led by 5 points at the interval, 2-7 to 2-2. The goals coming from Alan Naughton and Gary Hennelly. Kilconieron had the better of the exchanges in the second half outscoring Pearses 2-5 to 0-5. Following this result Pearses are now in 4th place on the Group B table, with 4 games still to play Clarinbridge, Oranmore-Maree, Mullagh and Mountbellew-Moylough.
