Pearses’ final group game against Tommy Larkins, due to have been played last weekend, will take place this Saturday evening (24th) in Killimor. The other remaining game in the group between Athenry and Portumna will take place simultaneously in Ballinasloe. Pearses will be without Top Scorer Tomas Flannery who has been ruled out of the game with a hand injury picked up in training during the week and Emmet Ward is also on the injury List with a back injury. This is a must win game for Pearses. A win is needed (along with Athenry losing to Portumna) to force a three way playoff between Pearses, Athenry and Tommy Larkins.
