Junior Hurling Roundup

Our Junior A and Junior C hurlers had Championship games over the weekend. The Junior A’s were first up, with a Round 3 game in Ballinasloe on Saturday evening against Kiltormer. Manager Tomandamp;aacute;s Kenny was working from a depleted squad, as most of his absentees were unavailable due to exams. Kiltormer proved much too strong on the day and the lads lost out on a scoreline of 4-10 to 0-6.andamp;nbsp;
Pearses (Junior A): Paul O’Brien; Ronan Skehill, Brendan Egan, Thomas Broderick; Leo Morrissey, Paul Moore, Aidan Murray; Enda Cunniffe (0-5), Damian Wynne; Niall Skehill (0-1), Aidan Kilkenny, Robbie Lally; John Lally, Kealan Beckett, Ger Dywer. Sub used: Johnny Mullins.
The Junior Cs travelled to Tynagh to take on Tynagh-Abbey-Duniry in the first Round of the Championship. It was a sweltering hot evening and the first half was evenly contested, with many of the scores coming from frees. Both forward lines were finding it hard to make inroads against two tight defences. The game continued in this way into the third quarter, before TAD opened a 3 point lead, which they had extended to 5 by the full-time whistle. The lads are due to play again this coming weekend in Ballymacward, in Championship Round 2. Final Score: Tynagh-Abbey-Duniry 0-10 Pearses 0-5.andamp;nbsp;
