Pearses 4-7 Claregalway 0-9: The Club’s Junior footballers completed a unique treble last Thursday evening when they defeated Claregalway to win the Division 8 Football League in Newbridge. Claregalway, with former Mayo players James Nallen and David Heaney in their ranks, scored 3 of the game’s next 5 points. However two more killer blows from Pearses before half-time, Kerrill Hardiman and Niall Skehill adding a third and fourth goal. 4-3 to 0-3 at the break.
