Junior C Hurling v Carnmore

Pearses 3-14 Carnmore 2-9: Our Junior C hurlers had a good win in this Challenge game, played in Carnmore last Friday evening. Both teams will compete in the upcoming (Knockout) Shield competition and they may well meet again.
Carnmore had a better start and led by 2-7 to 0-4 after 20 minutes. The rest of the half belonged to Pearses, with Paraic Hillary (from a 21) and Keith Murphy goals helping to cut back the margin. Half-time score: Carnmore 2-9 Pearses 2-6. The second-half was all Pearses, with an unanswered 1-8. Declan Lawless with goal, flicking to the net from a long delivery. It was a good team performance, with seven different scorers and all except 1-1 of the Pearses total coming from play.
