Junior B Hurling Preliminary

Pearses 1-12 Killimor 0-13: Our Junior B hurlers are in the Championship Quarter-Finals following a hard earned win over Killimor in Duggan Park, Ballinasloe yesterday evening. Killimor were led for most of the first half, before the only goal of the game from Robbie Donnellan brought Pearses into it.
The teams were level after five minutes, 0-2 each. Lee Murphy with both Pearses scores from frees. Killimor took six of the next eight points, to lead 0-8 to 0-4. Donnellan and Lee Murphy (free) the Pearses scorers. Killimor freetaker Michandamp;eacute;al Dervan was converting any free from within 70 yards. A Darragh Kelly point on 24 minutes, reduced the margin to three. Two minutes later the goal from Robbie Donnellan levelled the game. Dervan and Lee Murphy swapped frees, before Killimor got the last point of the half. HT: Pearses 1-6 Killimor 0-10.
The third quarter was close, with Pearses points from Robbie Donnellan, Aidan Kilkenny and Niall Skehill, but two Killimor frees had the game level again. Dervan put Killimor in front with a difficult long range free on 47 minutes, Killimorandamp;rsquo;s last score. Pearses were on top in the rest of the game and should possibly have finished further ahead. Three frees from Lee Murphy seeing them through.
