International Hurling Festival

From the 18th to 21st September 2013 Aer Lingus in partnership with Etihad Airways will host the first ever International Hurling Festival. A Hurling Tournament and other events, including family fun days, kids games, traditional music and dance, will be staged in Galway City and County throughout the four day festival.
16 overseas teams from all over the world are travelling to Galway toandamp;nbsp;participate in this event, which include teams from Australia, North America, Canada, Argentina, the Middle East, Europe and the UK, along with the 44 Galway Juvenile hurling teams (including Pearses) participating in the Aer Lingus U12 Juvenile tournament
The teams will be based in the host towns of Ballinasloe, Loughrea, Gort and Galway West, for the duration of the festival. Our U12 Qualifying Group includes Kiltormer and Meelick-Eyrecourt and these two games will take place this coming Saturday (7th September at 11.30am and 12.30am) in Ballinasloe GAA Grounds (Brackernagh) with the top team in each of the four Groups going through to the Semi-Finals.
