The Club’s U16 hurlers had a fourth win from four last week, defeating Killimordaly away. They now top their Group, with three games left to play. Our U14s also top their group with two to play, following a win over Meelick-Eyrecourt.
The Club’s Junior hurlers had their first game of the season, finishing level (2-14 to 0-20) at home with Cappataggle. Our U10s won their first game of the season, defeating Skehana in Gurteen. The Minors were defeated away to Loughrea.
It was a busy week for U14 football. The team played Menlough in the Championship losing out in a very high-scoring game, 14-6 to 8-6! Kinvara and Craughwell were visitors as the Club hosted the Féile group on Saturday. Both visiting teams were much stronger, with Kinvara going on to win the competition outright.
Congrats to Cyril Donnellan who picked up his second National League title with Galway and also to Niamh Jenkins and Amy Kenny of Pearses Camogie Club who were part of the All-Ireland winning Galway Minor panel.
