Club Notes 30-08-15

The very best of luck to Cyril Donnellan and the Galway panel in the All-Ireland Senior Hurling final this Sunday. All involved with the Club are massively proud to have one of our own representing us on the biggest hurling day of the year. It is also great to see all the flags, bunting and good luck banners around the parish! Thanks to the people who have been sending photos for our Facebook page and please send yours if you wish.
Well done to Jack Barrett, Oisín Flannery and Dean Reilly who were part of the Galway U14 Hurling panels that traveled to Mount Sion GAA Club, Waterford for the All-Ireland U14 Championships last weekend. The ‘A’ team reached the Tony Forristal final, going down (3-7 to 3-4) to Cork, while the ‘B’ team were unlucky not to qualify from their Sonny Walsh group, losing out on scoring difference to Tipperary.
Congrats to the Camogie Club’s Tara Naughton, Niamh Jenkins and Amy Kenny who were part of the Galway U16 panel who defeated Cork to win the All-Ireland title today. Niamh Kilkenny will captain the Galway seniors in the All-Ireland final on September 13th. Best of luck to Niamh and her team mates.
There was no winner of the Club Lotto on 24th August. Numbers drawn 11, 21, 27, 29. Jackpot €6200 next week in McGann’s, Attymon.
