There were good results last weekend for the club’s U21 hurlers (report below) and U13 footballers. The U13s (managed by Des McCabe) were impressive in a resounding 5-10 to 1-3 win over Williamstown, in Gurteen. The Senior hurlers had their first League outing of the year, in Kinvara, against the home side. Without the county players Cyril Donnellan, Feaghal Flannery and Emmett Ward, they were defeated on a scoreline of 2-15 to 0-13. Kinvara, it must be said, were also without their County players Shane Kavanagh and Colm Callanan. There were two fixtures in the Suck Valley Hurling League, the minor hurlers were awarded the points when Tuam could not field a team. The U14s were defeated by Mountbellew-Moylough.
