Kinvara 1-27 Pádraig Pearses 1-17
Darren Kelly, The Connacht Tribune
Last year’s runners-up Kinvara ensured they will fight again next season with this 10-point victory in Loughrea on Sunday in this Relegation Semi-Final. Luca Danjou registered a couple of early scores as Kinvara went 0-10 to 0-6 up by the 20th minute with Jonah Donnellan and Dean Reilly prominent for Pádraig Pearses. It was 0-13 to 0-11 at half-time before Kinvara owned the third quarter with Padraig Conole delivering the match-winning goal. Donnellan sent a late Pearses free to the net, but their chances had already faded.
Admin Note: Dean Reilly had a heavy collision late in the game with a Kinvara defender. Following the assistance of the medical team from both teams, he left the game and was replaced. We wish Dean well, for a speedy recovery.
